Bottom gas separator for BCP

The bottom gas separator improves the performance of BCP systems by reducing gas interference before the fluid enters the pump, resulting in a more stable, efficient and reliable operation.

The bottom gas separator is an essential component for improving the performance of progressing cavity pumping (PCP) systems. Its main function is to separate the gas before the fluid enters the pump, allowing more efficient handling of liquids and significantly reducing the negative effects of gas interference on the operation.

In BCP systems, the presence of gas can directly affect volumetric efficiency and pumping stability. By incorporating this equipment downhole, more continuous, reliable operation with less mechanical wear is achieved, resulting in fewer shutdowns and longer component life.

Electro-Submersible Pumps

Increased efficiency and durability

Squeeze pumps cover a wide range of flow rates and are very tolerant of higher thrust loads and heavy solids in the produced fluids. Unlike floating pumps, compression pumps can better handle varying thrust loads in rapidly changing flow conditions, as is often the case with gas shocks.

When a compression pump starts to operate with downward thrust, the force is transferred and managed in the thrust bearing of the motor seal. Absorption of this downward thrust force in the clean oil environment of the seal section helps to extend pump life.

The Packet pump is better able to withstand the prolonged downward thrust and abrasive production that ESPs typically experience in unconventional well applications. The package pump is constructed so that as mechanical wear progresses, the stage impellers will lock in groups (configurable packages) to limit axial movement of the package along the shaft. Downward thrust is dynamically managed through a tungsten carbide bearing (T) in the diffuser at the base of each package.

Variable speed drives (VSD) provide precision control and maximum protection of induction and permanent magnet motors (PMM). Designed with ESP and PCP applications in mind, our variable speed drives incorporate a range of control software algorithms and advanced features, as well as remote communication interface and data integration capabilities.

Axiom II VSD

The Axiom II VSD controls IM and PMM with maximum efficiency and reliability. The drive uses a patented vector control algorithm to achieve maximum efficiency with Borets PMMs. With a built-in filter, the Axiom II delivers a near-sinusoidal output waveform to downhole equipment with minimal surface area.

The Axiom II VSD, with its NEMA 3R enclosure, is available in 6-, 12- and 18-pulse output models and in size ratings from 112 amps to 1100 amps.

Borets 15 VSD

The Borets-15 VSD optimizes cost-effectiveness with maximum performance to control and protect permanent magnet and induction motor pump systems. It uses a patented algorithm to provide stable motor control with near-optimal power factor and efficiency.

The Borets-15 VSD, with optional NEMA 3R or NEMA4 enclosure, is available in 6-pulse and 12-pulse output models and in size ratings from 160 to 1600 amps for ESP applications and up to 630 amps for PCP applications. The modular design also simplifies field repairs.
